Dealer's description
GMC OBS Single Cab Pro Touring Pickup LS3 6.2L | Built 4L65E | Long Beach Red Metallic | Frame-Off Build This GMC OBS single cab is the kind of build that immediately separates itself from the average lowered street truck. It has the right look, the right parts, and the right attention to detail throughout. Finished in Long Beach Red Metallic, a modern C7 Corvette color, this truck was built with a full frame-off restoration and combines show-quality presentation with serious performance and a well-sorted suspension package. It is reported to have roughly 400 miles since the build and has already earned a Top 50 award out of more than 800 cars at the Making Memories car show in Monroe, Georgia. From the moment you see it, this truck has the stance and presence buyers want. The paint lays out beautifully and the smoothed bodywork gives it a much cleaner, more refined look than stock. The 3rd brake light has been shaved, the roll pan has been filled and smoothed, and the truck has the clean, streamlined appearance that makes these OBS GMCs so popular when done right. The bed is exceptionally clean, the body lines are crisp, and the truck sits just right over a set of 20-inch WELD wheels wrapped in 245/45ZR20 front and 275/40ZR20 rear tires. Underneath, this truck was built the right way. The frame was sandblasted and refinished in Eastwood Gloss Black Chassis Paint, and the undercarriage photos show a clean, detailed foundation that supports the rest of the build. Suspension upgrades include IHC suspension components, narrowed tubular A-arms, QA1 front coilovers, a C-notch, street performance rear shocks, Belltech rear sway bar, and Speed Engineering traction bars. The result is a truck with a low, aggressive stance and the hardware to back it up. Power comes from an LS3 6.2L fitted with a Texas Speed Stage 3 LS3 cam and topped with a PTR High Ram true carbon fiber intake. Fueling is handled by Holley Terminator injectors, and engine and transmission management is controlled through a Holley Terminator X Max ECU/TCU setup. The engine bay has a very clean, intentional look with body-color paintwork, black accessories, and quality components throughout. Supporting upgrades include a Motion Raceworks vent-to-atmosphere catch can, aluminum radiator, and Derale Performance electric fans. Backing the LS3 is a built 4L65E automatic transmission with a 3,000 RPM stall converter, sending power through a PST 4-inch aluminum driveshaft to a 10-bolt rear end fitted with Quick Performance forged axles, 1350 U-joints, a Yukon Grizzly locker, 4.11 gears, and a Yukon deep pan girdle. This is a serious driveline package with the right parts in the right places. The exhaust system is equally well thought out, featuring Schoenfeld long-tube headers, a 3-inch stainless equal-length exhaust, CTS-V X-pipe, and Spintech mufflers. The seller notes it "sounds like a Vette," and with this combination, that is easy to believe. Braking has also been upgraded with a 13-inch rear disc brake conversion, Wilwood master cylinder, and proportioning valve, helping the truck match its performance with improved stopping capability. Inside, the truck continues to impress. The interior is finished in a rich red tone that complements the exterior perfectly and gives the cab a clean custom look without losing the character of the truck. It features 454SS bucket seats wrapped to match, a custom-built center console, and a Precision Performance gated shifter. Additional interior work includes new carpet, new headliner, new dash skin, LMC weatherstripping and seals, and sound deadening mat. The builder also kept the original door panels and original floor mats, which gives the cabin a nice blend of factory style and tasteful upgrades. For comfort and convenience, the truck is equipped with Dakota Digital gauges, a RetroSound vintage-style Bluetooth head unit, and an all-new heat and A/C system. It is noted that the A/C will need to be charged, as it has never been used since the build. This truck also benefits from thoughtful assembly details, including the use of nearly all stainless hardware, which speaks to the level of care that went into the restoration and reassembly. This is not a thrown-together lowered OBS truck. It is a well-built, tastefully finished, LS3-powered GMC with excellent stance, strong components, modern power, show-quality presentation, and the kind of curb appeal that makes it hard to ignore.
