1970 Pontiac GTO

By dropping their full-size 389 ci V8 into an affordable intermediate, Pontiac produced a car with a favorable power-to-weight ratio that younger buyers wanted desperately and could afford with an average job. Today most serious collectors have at least 1 GTO because it was the progenitor of the muscle car. This stunning Verdoro Green (47) 1970 GTO is such a car, a magnificent and heavily optioned example that recently arrived from a large, multi-million dollar collection. Lift the familiar scooped hood and you'll see the beast; 455 cubic inches of numbers matching (0R130612) Poncho thunder.
