Should I buy a 2025 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2025 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2025 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 93.5% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.04% compared with last year.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $30,224, the 2024 costs less than the current year's $32,408 average.
• The 2024 adds a refresh, more standard features, and a stronger turbo four-cylinder.

Consider the 2026 if:

• The 2026 emphasizes a premium-feeling cabin, spacious rear seat, and strong value.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2025 if you want the current-year market balance of price, inventory, and deal availability. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2024 is the better value play because it costs less and brings meaningful updates. The 2026 is worth a look if you want a newer-feeling cabin and can stretch for a later model year.
