2025 Chevrolet Tahoe Reviews SummaryThe 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe arrives with a restyled front and rear, including new lighting signatures, and its available diesel engine has been upgraded for more horsepower and torque. However, most shoppers will recognize the new Tahoe for its improved interior and fancy touchscreen. Verdict: Although the Tahoe receives only mild mechanical updates for the 2025 model year, its interior takes a healthy step forward. Its primary competitors–the Ford Expedition and the Jeep Wagoneer–no longer look or feel significantly nicer. An upgraded diesel engine also helps separate the Tahoe from the field, offering impressive fuel economy (for a vehicle of this size) and excellent performance.
2026 Hyundai Venue Reviews SummaryAutomakers have traditionally had a hard time making money on entry-level subcompact cars, because they have low profit margins, but America has largely moved away from cars to crossover SUVs—and higher prices. That allows car companies to offer an entry-level subcompact SUV for thousands more than a similar sedan or hatchback. Such is the case with the Hyundai Venue, which costs more than its predecessor, the subcompact Accent that was dropped after the 2022 model year. While the price is higher, the advantage for buyers is a vehicle that generally has more cargo space and is more practical. We recently drove the 2026 Hyundai Venue SEL w/2-Tone Roof (yes, that’s the trim level name) to find out if a subcompact crossover is a better buy than a cheaper subcompact car. Verdict: The Hyundai Venue sacrifices refinement for a price point that isn’t as low as a comparable subcompact car. We’d be tempted to spend a little more for a slightly larger compact car with more power, features, and refinement.

The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe continued its legacy as a popular full-size SUV, maintaining its reputation for capability and practicality. Its design updates were subtle, with a new grille and lighting elements that aligned with the aesthetics of other Chevy trucks. The Tahoe offered six trim levels, each benefiting from these updates, with the Z71 trim standing out for its off-road capabilities. Inside, the Tahoe featured a new 17.7-inch touchscreen display, enhancing the cabin's tech appeal. The interior improvements included more stylish climate control buttons and sophisticated air vents, while the steering-column-mounted shifter replaced the previous electronic buttons.
The 2026 Hyundai Venue, classified as a crossover SUV, presented a compact and narrow design, more akin to a tall hatchback. Its upright windshield and SUV-like cues, such as roof rails and black wheel flares, contributed to its crossover appearance. Inside, the Venue's design was simple and functional, with a digital instrument cluster and a small touchscreen that resembled an iPad. The interior featured body-color trim around the air vents and shifter, adding a touch of exterior flair to the cabin. Despite its compact size, the Venue offered a practical and straightforward interior layout.
The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe stood out with its engine options, offering two V8 choices and a diesel alternative. The 5.3-liter V8 delivered 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, while the 6.2-liter V8 provided 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The diesel engine, a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder, produced 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque, offering a refined and fuel-efficient option with up to 27 mpg on the highway. All engines were paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, and the Tahoe featured rear-wheel drive as standard, except for the Z71 trim, which came with four-wheel drive. The Tahoe's suspension options included Magnetic Ride Control and Air Ride adaptive suspension, enhancing ride quality and handling.
In contrast, the 2026 Hyundai Venue was powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 121 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque. The power was channeled through a continuously variable transmission (CVT) to the front wheels, with no all-wheel drive option. The Venue's performance was modest, with a 0-60 mph time of 8.5–8.8 seconds. Its lightweight design, at 2,738 pounds, contributed to its agility in city driving, but the engine struggled at highway speeds. The Venue's handling benefited from its small size and low weight, making it easy to maneuver in traffic and park in tight spaces.
The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe excelled in towing capacity and interior space. With the 5.3-liter V8, RWD, and Max Trailering package, it could tow up to 8,400 pounds, while the 6.2-liter V8 and diesel maxed out at 8,200 pounds. The Tahoe offered a substantial 24-gallon fuel tank, providing nearly 650 miles of highway driving with the diesel engine. Cargo volume was impressive, with 122.9 cubic feet available with all seats folded. However, with all seats in place, the cargo space was limited to 25.5 cubic feet. The Tahoe also offered a 24-inch wheel option, requiring Magnetic Ride Control for improved ride quality.
The 2026 Hyundai Venue provided a comfortable interior with cloth and H-Tex seats, featuring six-way manual adjustments and seat heating in the SEL models. While headroom was ample, legroom was limited for taller occupants. The rear seat accommodated average-sized adults, but three passengers would find it cramped. The Venue offered 31.9 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded and 18.7 cubic feet with them up. The rear cargo floor lifted to access the compact spare tire, revealing cost-cutting measures like the lack of sound deadening.
The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe made significant strides in technology, featuring a 17.7-inch touchscreen, an 11-inch driver information screen, and an optional 15-inch head-up display. Standard features included wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with Google Built-in offering seamless integration of Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Play Store. However, the user experience had a learning curve, with a cluttered steering wheel and unintuitive driver information display customization. The premium Bose sound system was underwhelming compared to rivals.
The 2026 Hyundai Venue came with an 8-inch touchscreen for basic infotainment features, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While it lacked navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and SiriusXM satellite radio, the touchscreen was responsive and easy to use. The Venue's audio system was a simple six-speaker unit, with no premium option available. The digital instrument cluster displayed limited information and was not programmable.
The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe had not been crash-tested for the 2025 model year, but the 2024 model received four out of five stars from the NHTSA and an Acceptable rating from the IIHS. Standard safety features included automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, pedestrian and bicycle braking, and a surround-view camera. GM's Super Cruise hands-free driving tech was expected to be available in 2025.
The 2026 Hyundai Venue offered a good set of standard safety features, including forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and a driver-attention monitor. The Venue received four out of five stars from the NHTSA, with a top "Good" score in the small front overlap test from the IIHS. However, its headlights received "Acceptable" or "Marginal" ratings, depending on the trim level.
