2025 INFINITI QX80 Reviews Summary

The 2025 Infiniti QX80 is the Nissan luxury brand’s de facto flagship. It’s a full-size SUV that competes with the BMW X7, Cadillac Escalade, Land Rover Range Rover, Lexus LX, Lincoln Navigator, and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. The QX80 benefits from a redesign for 2025 with new styling, a new powertrain, and updated tech features.

Verdict: The QX80 emphasizes interior space and tech gadgets over driving dynamics.

2025 Jeep Wrangler Reviews Summary

You know what you’re getting with the Jeep Wrangler: Iconic looks and legendary off-road ability but an overall package somewhat out of step with the times. Even so, it’s a model that’s continually evolving and Jeep does its best to appeal to the broadest cross-section of customers possible. You can get a Wrangler with two-door or four-door body styles, and your choice between three engines and seven trim levels. This year, all 2025 Wrangler models have standard power windows and door locks, the V6/automatic drivetrain returns to the lineup, while new colors include ’41 (drab green), Mojito (bright green), and Joose (orange).

Verdict: Rough, raw, and unrefined, the 2025 Wrangler is made for adventure and getting dirty. The top comes off. The doors come off. There are drain holes in the floor so that you can hose it out. This Jeep can be unpleasant to drive daily, yet we love it just the same.

2025 INFINITI QX80

8/10

2025 Jeep Wrangler

6/10

The 2025 INFINITI QX80 underwent its first redesign since 2017, growing slightly in length and width while maintaining its height. It retained its body-on-frame architecture, but with a new frame that significantly improved torsional and lateral stiffness. The QX80's styling became more expressive, particularly at the front, with a larger grille and a distinctive stacked-headlight setup. The rear end maintained its general shape but featured full-width LED taillights. The QX80 was offered in four trim levels, with varying wheel sizes and designs. The interior received a high-tech makeover, including a large horizontal display and ambient lighting, although some materials felt less premium.

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler Sport S, encountered during a rental experience in Hawaii, was noted for its black-on-black color scheme, which was less than ideal for the tropical climate. Despite this, the Wrangler's open-air design and capability to remove overhead panels made it enjoyable to drive in Hawaii. The Wrangler was available in various trims, including the powerful Rubicon 392 with a 470-horsepower V8 engine. The Sport S model had a few options, including a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Wrangler's design emphasized function over form, with a focus on off-road capability and a nostalgic connection to its military roots.

Performance

2025 Jeep Wrangler

The 2025 INFINITI QX80 featured a new twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, replacing the previous 5.6-liter V8. This engine produced 450 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, offering more power than the outgoing V8. A nine-speed automatic transmission replaced the old seven-speed, with rear-wheel drive standard and four-wheel drive optional. The QX80's new engine and transmission combination provided a more energetic driving experience, although the active sound enhancement added an artificial noise to the cabin. The QX80's suspension system, with air suspension and adaptive damping, aimed to provide a comfortable ride, but it couldn't completely eliminate bumps. The QX80's handling was average for a large body-on-frame SUV.

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler offered a choice between a 3.6-liter V6 engine with a six-speed manual transmission and a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The four-cylinder engine produced 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, offering slightly better fuel efficiency than the V6. During a test drive in Hawaii, the four-cylinder Wrangler achieved an average fuel economy of 19.2 mpg. The Wrangler's off-road capabilities, including standard four-wheel drive and high ground clearance, made it well-suited for exploring Hawaii's terrain. However, the Wrangler's ride was rough, and its steering and handling were less refined.

Form and function

2025 Jeep Wrangler

The 2025 INFINITI QX80's redesign increased cargo space by 6%, 17%, and 28% behind the first, second, and third rows, respectively. This resulted in 22 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats in place, 59 cubic feet with the third row folded, and 101 cubic feet with both the second and third rows folded. The QX80 offered a power liftgate and power-folding second- and third-row seats for easy reconfiguration. Passenger space was generous, with increased legroom in the first and third rows. The QX80 had a maximum towing capacity of 8,500 pounds.

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler's high ground clearance and narrow door openings made getting in and out challenging. The Sport S trim's cloth upholstery was comfortable, and the Convenience Group option added heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. The Wrangler had seating for five, but four passengers were more comfortable. Rear-seat legroom was adequate, but taller passengers needed to be cautious of plastic hooks on the front seatbacks. Cargo space was reasonable, with 31.7 cubic feet available, expandable to 72.4 cubic feet by folding the back seat. Accessing the cargo area required opening the tailgate and lifting the rear window.

The 2025 INFINITI QX80 featured dual 14.3-inch screens, one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system. A smaller 9-inch touchscreen handled additional controls. The QX80 was the first Infiniti model with Google built-in apps, including Google Maps for navigation. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were supported. The QX80's Klipsch sound systems varied by trim level, with the top models featuring a 24-speaker system. The QX80 also offered a 360-degree camera system with multiple viewing angles.

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler's Uconnect 5 infotainment system included a 12.3-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio preparation. The Sport S model had an eight-speaker stereo, with a nine-speaker Alpine premium sound system optional. Jeep Connect provided access to a Wi-Fi hotspot and off-road navigation capabilities. The Convenience Group pack added a 7-inch digital display and other features like passive entry and remote engine starting. Rear parking sensors were available in the Active Safety Group package.

Standard safety features included forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and a trailer blind-spot warning system. The QX80 offered Nissan's ProPilot Assist highway-driving assistance system, with adaptive cruise control and automated lane centering. The more advanced ProPilot Assist 2.1 version allowed for hands-free driving and automated lane changes.

The 2025 Jeep Wrangler added side curtain airbags for the front and rear seats as standard equipment. Advanced driver assistance systems were optional, with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert available on most trims. Forward collision warning with automatic braking was standard on the Wrangler Sahara. Adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlights were also available. The Wrangler received a four-star frontal-impact rating and a three-star rollover resistance rating from the NHTSA. The IIHS rated the Wrangler as Good for side-impact protection but Marginal for small overlap frontal-impact tests.
