2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Reviews SummaryWell, we say “finally.” In fact, the US market has only gone without the Land Cruiser for two years, but the fandom made it clear that was two years too many. The new stateside Land Cruiser is an all-new model for 2024. Its coming was presaged by the Lexus GX with which it shares a platform, but Toyota made sure that this midsize SUV falls squarely in its own segment. Verdict: The new 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser is the latest in a spate of automotive reboots, and it just may be the best of them. The new Land Cruiser combines retro styling and excellent off-road capability with the latest in comfort and convenience and, of course, brand heritage. But Toyota may be relying too heavily on the revered nameplate to justify the price, particularly since it’s changed some of the fundamental characteristics of the model.
2025 Buick Enclave Reviews SummaryThe Enclave kicks off its third generation, benefitting from Buick’s slick new design language and a host of feature updates. The three-row SUV gets a full redesign, a new powertrain, and tons of tech and safety features that are standard across all three trim levels. Verdict: Like any vehicle, the new Enclave has its strengths and weaknesses. We think Buick was strategic in its approach to these, focusing its efforts on the areas Enclave shoppers most likely prioritize.

The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser was a nod to its iconic past with a boxy design and flat roof, reminiscent of its predecessors. Each of the three trims featured elements that paid homage to earlier models, such as the heritage grille and round headlights. The lighting was all LED, blending classic inspiration with modern standards. The interior offered a range of materials from cloth to real leather, with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel standard across trims. The cabin was designed for comfort, with cushy seats and a padded center console, allowing drivers to focus on the road ahead.
In contrast, the 2025 Buick Enclave presented a bold and modern appearance, drawing inspiration from the Envista. It featured a large, angular grille and slim DRLs, with a more upright profile and sharpened wheel arches. The interior was both modern and premium, with a floating center console and a large curved display. The seats in the Sport Touring trim were trimmed in perforated leatherette, offering a premium feel. However, the limited sunroof availability was a drawback, with the panoramic power sunroof only available on higher trims.

The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser was equipped with a hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 1.87-kWh battery pack and a 48-hp electric motor, producing a total of 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. It featured an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard full-time four-wheel drive, with an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case. The Multi-Terrain Select system allowed for operation in either 4Hi or 4Lo, and the vehicle came with an automatic limited-slip differential, rear- and center-locking differentials, and a push-button disconnect for the front sway bar. The CRAWL control function offered five speed settings for navigating challenging terrain.
The 2025 Buick Enclave came with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. It was paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and offered in either front-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive configurations. The Enclave could tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped. Active Noise Cancellation targeted road noise, with an optional upgrade for engine noise cancellation. The Enclave drove like a full-size vehicle, with loose steering at slower speeds, but this was not a major concern for its target audience.
The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser featured two rows of seating, with headroom measuring 36.1 inches in the front and 35.3 inches in the back. Legroom was 33.0 inches in the front and 26.7 inches in the rear. The center console provided easy access to off-road features, and the cargo area offered 37.5 cubic feet of space. The rear liftgate opened onto a raised load floor, and the trunk included a 120-volt AC outlet and USB-C ports in higher trims.
The 2025 Buick Enclave offered eight-way power adjustability for the driver's seat and six-way for the front passenger. It had a seven-person maximum capacity with captain's chairs in the second row. The Enclave Avenir featured heated second-row seats and ventilation for the front row. Tri-zone climate control was standard, and the power-folding third-row seats expanded cargo volume to 97.5 cubic feet when folded. The AutoSense liftgate provided easy access to the cargo area.
The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser was equipped with the Multi-Terrain Monitor system, standard for the two higher trims, and a 12.3-inch center touchscreen display. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto were standard, along with USB-C ports for front and back seats. The middle trim offered a 10-speaker sound system, with an optional upgrade to a 14-speaker JBL premium sound system.
The 2025 Buick Enclave featured a 30-inch ultrawide touchscreen, integrating the infotainment display and digital gauge cluster. A 12-speaker Bose Premium audio system was standard, with a 16-speaker Bose Performance system available on the Avenir trim. Wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto were standard, along with Google Built-In and Wi-Fi hotspot capability.
The 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser had not been rated by the IIHS or NHTSA, but it came standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, including adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alert, and lane-tracing assist. The Premium Package added lane-keep assist, front cross-traffic alert, and traffic jam assist.
The 2025 Buick Enclave included blind-zone steering assist, intersection automatic emergency braking, and lane-keep assist as standard. HD Surround Vision with seven selectable camera views was also standard. Super Cruise, GM’s highway hands-free driving technology, was available on every trim. The 2024 model year Enclave scored well in most IIHS tests and earned a four-star overall rating from the NHTSA.
