2024 Hyundai Venue Reviews Summary

A small multi-purpose vehicle that Hyundai sells as a crossover SUV, the 2024 Venue has a base price of $21,275, including the destination charge. Three versions are available, each equipped with a 121-horsepower four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive. It holds four adults (five if you squeeze) and can carry up to 31.9 cubic feet of cargo. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the Venue includes important safety features. You can expect 31 mpg in combined driving.

Verdict: One of the best things about the Venue is the value it provides. You get a long warranty with roadside assistance, complimentary scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000 miles, and with the top trim level, lifetime access to connected services. Affordable to buy and own, the 2024 Hyundai Venue is a budget-friendly choice.

2025 Buick Enclave Reviews Summary

The Enclave kicks off its third generation, benefitting from Buick’s slick new design language and a host of feature updates. The three-row SUV gets a full redesign, a new powertrain, and tons of tech and safety features that are standard across all three trim levels.

Verdict: Like any vehicle, the new Enclave has its strengths and weaknesses. We think Buick was strategic in its approach to these, focusing its efforts on the areas Enclave shoppers most likely prioritize.

Look and feel

2024 Hyundai Venue

8/10

2025 Buick Enclave

8/10

The 2024 Hyundai Venue was available in SE, SEL, and Limited trims, with prices ranging from $21,275 to $24,525, including destination charges. The SEL trim, priced at $23,275, was recommended for its enhanced exterior and added safety features. The Limited trim test vehicle, painted in Ecotronic Gray, had an MSRP of $24,735. Despite limited options, the Venue's design was appealing, offering a mature look with its gray color. Inside, the Venue featured hard plastics but maintained a stylish appearance with striped seats and white dashboard trim. The digital instrumentation and 8-inch touchscreen were highlights, showcasing Hyundai's attention to quality and design.

The 2025 Buick Enclave resembled a larger version of the Envista, with a bold front design featuring slim DRLs and a large grille. Its side profile was more generic, but overall, it appeared bolder than its predecessor. Standard 20-inch wheels on the base trim and unique touches on the Sport Touring trim added to its appeal. Inside, the Enclave felt modern and premium, with a floating center console and large curved display. The Sport Touring test car had perforated leatherette seats with contrast piping, enhancing its upscale feel. However, the limited sunroof availability was a drawback, especially for a near-luxury SUV.

Performance

2024 Hyundai Venue

5/10

2025 Buick Enclave

6/10

The 2024 Hyundai Venue was equipped with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 121 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque. Weighing 2,612 pounds in base SE trim, it featured a CVT that maximized power for city and suburban driving. Its small size and nimble handling made it ideal for urban environments, though the suspension struggled on rough roads. On highways, it maintained speed but sounded harsh under pressure. Lacking AWD, it relied on front-wheel drive, with 6.7 inches of ground clearance. The Venue achieved an EPA rating of 31 mpg combined, but our tests showed 30.3 mpg.

The 2025 Buick Enclave came with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission powered either the front or all four wheels, with AWD reducing fuel economy from 23 to 21 mpg combined. The Enclave could tow up to 5,000 pounds. Active Noise Cancellation was standard for road noise, but engine noise cancellation was limited to the top trim. The Enclave drove like a full-size vehicle, with loose steering at low speeds, but this was typical for its class.

Form and function

2025 Buick Enclave

8/10

The 2024 Hyundai Venue's increased ground clearance facilitated easy entry and exit. Despite its small size, it offered decent comfort with adjustable front seats and heated cushions. The back seat was cramped for three, and taller passengers disliked the hard plastic front seatbacks. Limited storage and lack of rear air vents were drawbacks. Cargo space was 18.7 cubic feet, expanding to 31.9 cubic feet with the rear seats folded.

The 2025 Buick Enclave featured eight-way power adjustability for the driver and six-way for the front passenger. Second-row captain's chairs allowed for seven-person capacity. Heated front seats and tri-zone climate control were standard, with additional features on higher trims. The power-folding third-row seats and AutoSense liftgate enhanced convenience. Cargo space was 22.9 cubic feet with all seats up, expanding to 97.5 cubic feet with both rear rows folded.

The 2024 Hyundai Venue had an 8-inch touchscreen with modern graphics and logical menus. Standard features included Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The Limited trim added navigation and SiriusXM but switched to wired connectivity, reducing the wireless charger's usefulness. Despite this, the infotainment system was sophisticated, with impressive voice recognition.

The 2025 Buick Enclave boasted a 30-inch ultrawide touchscreen integrating infotainment and digital gauges. A 12-speaker Bose audio system was standard, with a 16-speaker system on the Avenir trim. Wireless charging and smartphone connectivity were standard, along with Google Built-In and Wi-Fi hotspot capability. The Enclave offered wired charging with USB ports in each row.

Safety

The 2024 Hyundai Venue included Hyundai SmartSense with forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and more. The SEL trim added blind-spot monitoring. The Venue received Good ratings in IIHS crash tests and a four-star NHTSA rating.

The 2025 Buick Enclave featured advanced safety tech, including blind-zone steering assist and intersection automatic emergency braking. Super Cruise was available on all trims. The 2024 model had a four-star NHTSA rating and mixed IIHS results.
