2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Reviews Summary

Everybody wants more driving range from an EV, and now the Mach-E’s Premium trim level offers up to 290 miles of it. In addition, the California Route 1 comes only with all-wheel drive and 312 miles of range this year, while the GT gets a standard panoramic glass roof. New Carbonized Gray and Vapor Blue paint colors also debut. The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E is a world-class electric vehicle providing style, performance, technology, and utility in equal measure.

However, the big news is that Ford has introduced an enhanced version of its BlueCruise hands-free highway driving technology.

2024 Lexus TX Reviews Summary

Verdict: Lexus has sold three-row SUVs in the past. But they were either originally engineered for serious off-roading (GX), too expensive (LX), or too cramped for third-row passengers (RX L). The 2024 Lexus TX is none of these things, making it perfect for the typical three-row luxury SUV buyer who spends almost all their time on paved roads. Overall, based on our week testing a TX 350 Luxury model, this new Lexus SUV gets most things right.

2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E

9/10

2024 Lexus TX

7/10

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E surprised many with its blend of Mustang styling and electric SUV functionality. Despite its unconventional dimensions, the Mach-E's design elements like the galloping horse emblems and bold rear fender haunches tied it visually to the iconic pony car, boosting its popularity. Since its debut, Ford produced over 150,000 units, offering various trims like Select, Premium, and GT, with prices ranging from $45,995 to $63,995. The GT model, with its aggressive styling and high-tech interior, stood out with features like artificial leather seats and a dual-cowl dashboard, blending luxury with a sporty ambiance.

In contrast, the 2024 Lexus TX, based on the Toyota Grand Highlander, presented a more conservative luxury SUV design. The TX's styling was toned down compared to other Lexus models, appealing to those who preferred a subtler look. Available in TX 350, TX 500h F Sport Performance, and TX 550h+ plug-in hybrid models, the TX ranged from $55,050 to $69,350. The TX 350 Luxury trim offered premium features like semi-aniline leather upholstery and a Peppercorn interior, though some found the cabin too dark. The TX provided a comfortable third-row seat, addressing past Lexus SUV shortcomings.

The GT model featured an extended-range battery and AWD, delivering 480 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque, with a 0-60 mph time of 3.8 seconds and a 270-mile range. The GT Performance Edition increased torque to 634 lb-ft, reduced range to 260 miles, and improved acceleration to 3.5 seconds. Driving modes like Whisper, Engage, and Unbridled allowed customization, with the GT offering an exclusive Unbridled Extend mode for track use.
