Who Makes Aston Martin Cars?
Aston Martin was founded in 1913 and has a long history of producing high-performance road and race cars. Today its production cars are all built in the UK, at its plants in Warwickshire and Wales. The V12 engines in its cars are produced in-house, while the V8 engines (and their related electrical components) are supplied by part-owner Mercedes-AMG. In a similar arrangement, Aston Martin has announced that its future pure-electric cars will use Lucid Motors powertrain technology. Aston Martin’s F1 cars currently use Mercedes-AMG engines but will switch to Honda engines from the 2026 championship onwards.
