What’s New for the 2026 Lexus TX
Since the Lexus TX is only in its third year, there are no major changes for the 2026 model year. Additional cupholders are now standard in the third row and the Matador Red Mica paint is now offered as an exterior color for non-F-Sport models.
Design
The Lexus TX has an upright stance with an in-your-face grille sporting horizontal lines. Combine that with the slanted LED headlight design, and the TX has a bold, aggressive face. Standard wheels are 20-inch alloys with a dark gray finish. The Premium trim upgrades to a machined finish, while the Luxury and F-Sport Handling trims get 22-inch wheels with silver and black finishes, respectively. Lexus does not currently offer additional appearance packages for the TX.
Powertrain
The 2026 Lexus TX is equipped with a 275-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that requires premium fuel. This powertrain is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The TX comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD) across all trims. All-wheel drive (AWD) is standard on the F Sport Handling model and a $1,600 option for all others. The F Sport Handling trim also gets an F-Sport-tuned adaptive variable suspension in addition to unique F Sport Styling. Fuel economy is rated at 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway for FWD models, and AWD models deliver 20 mpg and 26 mpg, respectively. Maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds.

Interior
The interior of the Lexus TX has strong horizontal lines on the dashboard, large digital screens, and family-friendly features such as removable cupholders. Leatherette seating surfaces are standard on all trims except the Luxury grade, which adds semi-aniline leather seats. The TX seats seven passengers with a standard bench seat in the middle row. Second-row captain’s chairs are available, reducing passenger capacity to six. The base trim doesn’t offer a sunroof, but a panoramic glass roof is standard starting at the Premium trim. One of the notable benefits of the TX is the adult-sized third row, which has 33.5 inches of legroom—more than any of its competitors. With 20.2 cubic feet behind the third row and a maximum cargo capacity of 97 cubic feet, cargo space is among the best in the segment.
Technology
The 2026 Lexus TX eschews the current single-screen trend in favor of an integrated 12.3-inch digital cluster behind the wheel and a separate 14-inch infotainment screen. Standard tech features include seven USB ports, ambient lighting, a 12-speaker premium Lexus audio system, a wireless phone charger, Wi-Fi connectivity, subscription-based connected services, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Available features include a head-up display, digtial key functionality, advanced park assist, a rear-camera mirror, and a 21-speaker Mark Levinson premium surround sound system.
