The Honda Accord has long been one of the top-selling sedans in the United States, and with good reason, because it’s roomy, comfortable, reliable, and fun to drive. Last year, more than half of all Accord models sold were powered by hybrid drivetrains, and for 2026, Honda is offering the Accord Hybrid in Sport, EX-L, Sport-L and top-of-the-line Touring trim levels. With fuel economy ratings of up to 48 mpg combined, the 2026 Honda Accord Hybrid remains a smart choice for buyers who prefer sedans over crossover SUVs.

What’s New for the 2026 Honda Accord Hybrid
All 2026 Honda Accord models come standard with a 9-inch touchscreen running the automaker’s latest infotainment software, but all Accord Hybrid models have larger 12.3-inch units. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also standard, along with a wireless phone charger. Fortunately, Honda has kept a physical knob to control the audio volume. The Accord Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid models get a spicier design for 2026 with blacked-out exterior accents.
Design
There haven't been any major changes to the Honda Accord Hybrid’s exterior design for 2026. It remains a handsome sedan with an airy cabin and a roofline that slopes down toward the rear of the car to create a sort of fastback body. Although nobody will mistake the Accord Hybrid for a sports car, the 2026 Sport Hybrid’s black exterior highlights—including the rear window trim, the door mirrors and the badging—give it a more aggressive look than before.
Powertrain
All 2026 Honda Accord Hybrids are front-wheel drive (FWD) and come with a two-motor hybrid powertrain that produces 204 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque. There is no transmission in the traditional sense, as the motors provide direct power without the need for additional gearing, pulleys, belts or chains. Honda does, however, equip the Accord Hybrid with its Linear Shift Control system that can mimic the feel of a multi-speed transmission.
The Sport, Sport-L, and Touring models return an EPA-estimated 46 mpg in the city, 41 mpg on the highway, and 44 mpg combined. The Accord Hybrid EX-L is the most efficient version, registering ratings of 51/44/48 mpg, respectively.

Interior
The interior of the 2026 Honda Accord Hybrid carries over from the previous edition, which isn't a bad thing. The cabin is spacious enough for four adult passengers to ride in comfort (five less comfortably), and cool details such as the honeycomb-patterned air vents provide enough visual interest to make the Accord stand out in the midsize-sedan segment.
Technology
A 9-inch touchscreen comes standard in the 2026 Honda Accord, but every Accord Hybrid model benefits from a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen display. A 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster is also standard, while a 6-inch head-up display is exclusive to the top Touring trim. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto operate wirelessly, which allows the driver to keep their smartphone atop the standard wireless phone charger.
