What’s New for the 2025 Kia Sportage Hybrid
The Kia Sportage Hybrid was first introduced for the 2023 model year. It has carried over to 2024 and now to 2025 with few to no changes.
Design
The Sportage Hybrid has a cutting-edge front-end design, hinting at the modern powertrain and infotainment tech within. Trims for 2025 are LX, EX, and SX-Prestige.
Powertrain
The 2025 Kia Sportage Hybrid combines a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor to put out 227 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through a six-speed automatic transmission—which is a more performance-oriented choice than the typical continuously variable transmission (CVT) choice—to standard front-wheel drive (FWD) or available all-wheel drive (AWD).
The FWD version of the Sportage Hybrid achieves 42 mpg city, 44 mpg highway, and 43 mpg combined. The AWD version returns 38 mpg in city, highway, and combined driving.

Interior
Standard features on the LX trim include remote keyless entry and cloth upholstery. The EX adds a dated steering wheel, heated front seats, power-adjustable driver’s seat, synthetic leather upholstery, and remote start. The SX-Prestige adds heated and ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, and upgraded synthetic leather upholstery.
With the rear seats folded, the Sportage Hybrid provides up to 73.7 cubic feet of cargo space. Folding up the rear seats drops cargo space to 39.5 cubic feet. The Sportage Hybrid comes standard with a manual liftgate, but a hands-free power liftgate is available.
Technology
The standard infotainment system consists of an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. It also comes with a front USB-C port, Bluetooth connectivity, and a fully digital instrument panel.
Every trim but the base LX gets an upgraded infotainment system. It is a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen but it loses wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You can still connect to it via the USB-C port. These trims also get wireless device charging, navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The SX-Prestige adds a Harmon Kardon premium stereo system.
