What’s New for the 2025 Hyundai Tucson
The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid gets some minor exterior design tweaks for 2025, but the biggest changes are inside. The dash is redesigned with a large screen that houses both the gauge cluster and the infotainment system, but there are also more dials and buttons for regularly used controls. Additionally, the gear lever moves from the console to the steering column, which creates space to stash a purse or a bag. The 2025 model year also, finally, includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone integration.
Design
The 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid gets a new grille as well as a redesigned front and rear bumper fascia. However it retains a certain edginess with the Hyundai “Parametric Dynamics” design theme, which employs creases on the sides of the vehicle to illustrate dimension and movement. The vertical stack of daytime running lights, incorporated into the grille, is also a distinctive feature.
Powertrain
The hybrid powertrain in the 2025 Tucson is essentially a carryover from 2024, even if it does get a five horsepower boost. It's equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a 47.7 kW electric motor, for a combined output of 231 horsepower. It has a six-speed automatic transmission and, although the non-hybrid offers a front-wheel drive option, the only drivetrain on the hybrid is all-wheel drive. Most trims get an EPA estimated 35 mpg, but the base Blue, which features fewer amenities and weighs less, gets 38 mpg. The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid has a max towing capacity of 2,000 pounds when equipped with trailer brakes.

Interior
The Tucson Hybrid's interior has a modern, minimalist look and feel. The new panoramic display gives the dash a horizontal design, and the refreshed interior provides plenty of storage space, particularly the under-console open storage area and the new tray that's built into the passenger side of the dash.
It seats five, and comes with cloth seats as standard, though leatherette and leather seating surfaces are also available. A panoramic sunroof is standard, starting at the SEL Convenience trim. Cargo capacity rings in at 38.6 cubic feet behind the second row, and 74.5 cubic feet with rear seats folded flat.
Technology
The curved panoramic display houses a 12.3-inch gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all trims. Available tech features include navigation, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, Bose premium audio, fingerprint scanner, 64-color ambient lighting, and rain-sensing wipers.
