2023 Toyota Camry Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Overview
The venerable Toyota Camry gets a few updates for 2023: some cosmetic, and some substantial. Read on for more.
The 2023 Toyota Camry is a practical-yet-fashionable midsize family sedan. It provides plenty of space for passengers, as well as 15.1 cubic feet of trunk space. For 2023, the Nightshade SE styling package gets some visual tweaks. More importantly, traffic-sign recognition and automatic high beams become standard.
Trims for the Toyota Camry are LE, SE, XLE, XSE, and TRD. Standard features on the LE include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, multiple USB ports, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and an intuitive 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It has a sensible layout and features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa.
Moving up to the SE adds 18-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, and a unique front grille design. There’s also an SE Nightshade edition that features 19-inch bronze alloy wheels and dark exterior accents.
The XLE trim boasts genuine leather upholstery, heated front seats, ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, wireless device charging, push-button start, and a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
The XSE shares some of the styling touches of the SE. It also has a sport-tuned suspension and many of the features of the XLE trim.
The range-topping TRD trim features unique styling elements backed up by standard V6 power, a performance-tuned suspension, sport aluminum pedals, and larger performance brakes.
The base engine in the Toyota Camry is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 203 horsepower. The available 3.5-liter V6 engine makes 301 horsepower. Power is routed through an eight-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels or to available all-wheel drive (AWD). There is also a hybrid version of the Toyota Camry, which is listed as a separate model.
The most efficient version of the Camry is the 2.5-liter engine found in the LE and SE. It returns fuel economy of 28 mpg city, 39 highway, and 32 combined. The 2.5-liter engine that powers the XLE and XSE returns fuel economy of 27 mpg city, 38 highway, and 31 combined. With the 3.5-liter V6, the Camry returns 22 mpg city, 33 highway, and 26 combined. The Camry TRD returns 22 mpg city, 31 highway, and 25 combined.
The Camry comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense. This suite of driver-assistance features includes forward collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and pedestrian detection. Features such as reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors are all optional or come equipped on higher-level trims.
Base MSRP for the 2023 Toyota Camry is $25,945 for the entry-level LE. The SE starts at $27,845. The XLE starts at $30,695, and the XSE starts at $31,245. The range-topping TRD starts at $31,010. The Toyota Camry is backed by a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
