2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Overview
The Jeep Grand Cherokee was redesigned for 2022. For the 2023 model year, the Trailhawk trim goes 4xe.
The modern Grand Cherokee has often been described as “The American Range Rover,” and with good reason. It is spacious, upscale, and most of all, extremely capable on the trail. The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is offered in a two-row version and the three-row Grand Cherokee L, which is covered as a separate model.
The 2023 Grand Cherokee provides 70.8 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded and 37.7 cubic feet of space with the rear seats in use. The Grand Cherokee was completely redesigned in 2022, and for 2023, the Trailhawk has been split off into the 4xe plug-in hybrid trim, also covered as a separate model. Otherwise, the Grand Cherokee is largely carried over.
Trims for the Grand Cherokee are Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserve. Standard equipment on the Laredo includes dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a fully digital instrument panel, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Moving up to the Altitude adds remote start, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power liftgate, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Limited gains features such as heated rear seats, a power-adjustable front passenger seat, and a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen with navigation. The Overland features a hands-free power liftgate, a dual-panel panoramic sunroof, and upgraded premium Nappa leather upholstery.
The Summit trim boasts massaging front seats and quad-zone climate control, as well as some additional driver-assistance tech. The range-topping Summit Reserve features a 19-speaker McIntosh premium stereo system, Palermo leather premium upholstery, and ventilated rear seats.
The base engine in the Grand Cherokee is a 293-horsepower 3.6-liter V6. Power is routed through an eight-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels or to available four-wheel drive (4WD). On top-tier trims with 4WD, buyers can select a 357-horsepower 5.7-liter V8. Depending on the trim selected, buyers can select one of three 4WD systems—Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II—which feature an electronically controlled limited-slip rear differentials. When properly equipped, the Grand Cherokee can tow up to 7,200 pounds.
The 2023 Grand Cherokee comes equipped with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Base MSRP for the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is $41,530 for a Laredo trim. The Altitude starts at $46,140, and the Limited starts at $48,350. The Overland starts at $57,690, the Summit starts at $62,205, and the range-topping Summit Reserve starts at $68,685. The Grand Cherokee is backed by a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
