Overview

Chevrolet's long-enduring muscle car, the Camaro, is back with a few tweaks for the 2023 model year.

The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro is a fully modern muscle car, blending cutting-edge infotainment and safety tech with potent powertrains and engaging handling. The Camaro is available as a coupe and convertible, with the coupe providing 9.1 cubic feet of trunk space and the convertible providing 7.3 cubic feet.

The Camaro is offered in 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, SS, and ZL1 trims. Standard features on the 1LS include automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. This trim is only offered for the coupe body style.

The Camaro 1LT comes with a power-adjustable front passenger seat and satellite radio. This trim also opens up the availability of some options and packages, including an available V6 engine. Moving up to the 2LT trim adds dual-zone climate control, leather upholstery, and heated and ventilated front seats. The 3LT comes equipped with a fully digital instrument panel, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a head-up display, a heated steering wheel, wireless device charging, and a Bose premium stereo system.

The LT1 is the performance bargain of the bunch. It comes standard with a V8 engine, as well as Brembo brakes and a performance suspension. The SS builds on this with a few extra creature comforts.

The range-topping ZL1 trim features the most potent engine in the lineup. It also adds a performance exhaust, Magnetic Ride Control, a limited-slip differential, and launch control.

The base engine in the Camaro is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It makes 275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Shoppers can also select a 3.6-liter V6 that puts out 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque. The LT1 and SS trims both come equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 that makes 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque. The range-topping ZL1 boasts a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that generates 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The four-cylinder engine is available with an eight-speed automatic transmission. V6 and V8 engines are available with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The most efficient version of the Camaro is the 2.0-liter engine with automatic transmission. It returns fuel economy of 22 mpg city, 30 highway, and 25 combined. The V6 engine with the automatic transmission returns 18 mpg city, 29 highway, and 22 combined. The 6.2-liter V8 in the SS returns 16 mpg city, 26 highway, and 20 combined. The supercharged 6.2-liter V8 returns 14 mpg city, 20 highway, and 16 combined.

Some basic driver-assistance features are only offered as optional equipment or are included on higher-level trims. This equipment includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning, a head-up display, and rear parking sensors.

Base MSRP for the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro is $27,495 for the Coupe and $33,995 for the Convertible. The LT1 Coupe starts at $37,495 and the SS Coupe starts at $40,995. The ZL1 Coupe starts at $68,395. The Camaro is backed by a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.

The 2023 2SS 1LE is just an amazing car for its price, definitely worth it. It handles extremely well even for a daily it’s still very comfortable being a track car.

I just got a used 2018 Camaro at just over 100,000 miles that I found locally from CarGurus website, and it literally changed my life. Ive never owned a real sports car before, and the Camaro is something that has to be directly experienced to really understand how great it is. It handles as smooth as glass, and the 335 hp V6 has far more than enough power for anyone looking to add a hell of a lot of fun into their daily commute. The interior is incredible, and it feels like being in the cockpit of a stealth fighter jet while driving. The styling of this car, the 2018 LT1 with the RS package, is literally world class and it beats at least 98 percent of what I see on the road every day in looks alone. The only noticeable and infamous downside to this car is the lack of visibility to the rear and side blind spots, but if you are a careful driver youll get used to it quickly and you can compensate with more attentive driving. I cannot recommend this car enough if you want an affordable sports car with great handling that will turn heads. Dont miss out!

excellent car. Rides nice. Love the convertible top. Had a 2017 Camaro Convertible and traded it in for a 2023 convertible. Never had a problem with the car
