The current generation of the Chrysler Pacifica has been on the market since 2017. For 2022, it adds rear-seat occupant alert and Amazon Fire TV Capability.

The Pacifica provides a maximum of 140.5 cubic feet of cargo space with the second and third rows folded. With just the third row folded away, it provides 87.5 cubic feet, and with all seats in use, it offers 32.3 cubic feet behind the rear seats. The rival Toyota Sienna has similar cargo space behind the rear seats, but the Pacifica handily beats it in the other configurations.

The Pacifica comes standard in a seven-seat configuration with second-row captain’s chairs. A small middle seat is available for the second row, bringing the seating capacity to eight. There are four trims of the Pacifica: Touring, Touring L, Limited, and Pinnacle.

The entry-level Touring trim comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, a power rear liftgate, power sliding doors, three USB ports, remote start, push-button start, remote keyless entry, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. It also comes standard with a 10.1-inch touchscreen that runs the intuitive Uconnect infotainment system. This system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. A panoramic sunroof is optional on this trim.

The Touring L makes the panoramic sunroof standard equipment. Other features found on this trim include leather upholstery, front parking sensors, a 360-degree parking monitor, and a hands-free park assist. The Touring L is available with a rear-seat entertainment system with dual seat-back 10.1-inch touchscreens.

The Limited trim adds 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless device charging, a 19-speaker premium stereo system, navigation, an integrated vacuum cleaner, ventilated front seats, and heated second-row outboard seats. This trim also adds a power-folding third row, a hands-free power liftgate, and hands-free power sliding doors.

The range-topping Pinnacle trim adds 20-inch alloy wheels, second-row lumbar pillows, a rear-seat camera monitor system, and the rear-seat entertainment system that is optional on Touring L and Limited trims.

The Chrysler Pacifica is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine which makes 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Power is routed through a nine-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels, unless buyers opt for available all-wheel drive. There is also a plug-in hybrid version that is covered in a separate review. When properly equipped, the Pacifica can tow up to 3,600 pounds.

Chrysler loads up the Pacifica with a host of driver assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, forward-collision avoidance, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. It also comes with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, rear parking sensors, and a newly standard rear occupant alert that reminds you to check the rear seats before leaving the vehicle. Optional safety tech includes a 360-degree parking monitor, rear parking sensors, and a hands-free park-assist system.

The front-wheel-drive Chrysler Pacifica returns an EPA-estimated 19 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined. The all-wheel-drive version returns 17 mpg city, 25 highway, and 20 combined. Base MSRP for the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica is $37,095. The Touring L starts at $40,465, the Limited starts at $49,195, and the range-topping Pinnacle trim starts at $53,300. The Pacifica is backed by a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
