Expert review
Though the Dodge Durango shows signs of aging, the three-row SUV stands out muscle car styling and a lineup of potent engines.
Dodge says it has three muscle cars in its lineup, but if you check out the website, you’ll see the Challenger and Charger. Where is the third? According to Dodge, it’s the Durango three-row SUV. Even though it is a seven-passenger family hauler, it has eye-catching muscle car styling cues. It is also available in a number of high-horsepower trims that deliver on the styling.
For that performance and style, you give up a bit of usability compared to leaders in the segment like the Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, and Kia Telluride. The Durango also feels a bit dated compared to those vehicles. So, is this tradeoff worth it?

What owners say
"Overall, drivers love the 2020 Dodge Durango for its spacious interior, comfort, and smooth driving experience. Many appreciate its towing capacity and performance, making it a great family vehicle. However, some wished for additional features like a sunroof and found the price to be a bit high."
Like the overall design and look of this vehicle, it has a stylish appearance. The exterior is very attractive and clean, the interior is just as impressive. Although I’ve never actually seen it in person I’ve seen other versions (different colors), very sleek. Exceptional quality for the mileage. It could be a little less expensive, but the way everything is more expensive today it seems like a deal.
November 18, 2024Not a good value car is missing middle console and parts are hanging. And the inside panels looks like it might him been submerged in water!!
August 4, 2025Initially, looked good from the outside. Inside and test drive was a different story. Formerly a police vehicle. Rear seats didn't fold, had steel frame for the cage still installed. Back storage area floor is all steel. Took it for a short test drive and the front end shook like crazy. No thanks.

November 26, 2025Great all around vehicle. Can tow pretty much any small to medium sized car, hauls anything you can imagine once you fold the 2nd and 3rd row seats down, including a full sized treadmill! Comfortable family vehicle that gets good mileage for its size with the cylinder deactivation feature.
November 23, 2021I love this car room in it is amazing comfort level is perfect. Love that it has heated seats and steering wheel. Roomy enough for my granddaughters car seat.
May 20, 2022The 2014-Current Dodge Durango is a complete underdog that is often overlooked due to the previous Durango’s issues. This design feel and drives more like a European car and that is because the chasis design is exactly that. Mercedes-Benz used the then GLS design to base the design for the Durango for Dodge (go ahead and Google it). And as most car enthusiasts know, German cars are best known for their incredible chasis, stability, smoothness and overall driving experience. And that is what you with a 2014-Current Durango; a Mercedes GLS with a Dodge power-train. That is why I absolutely fell in love with them.
July 14, 2021This 2020 R/t is amazing. Best SUV out there. I have driven 2 durrango this being the second 1 and in time I definitely would get another preferably a Hellcat durrango.
October 18, 2022Drove all the way to Georgia from Tennessee to test drive a 2020 durango and fell absolutely in love with it. Handles like a go cart and rides like a Cadillac. Best money I’ve ever spent on a vehicle!
August 5, 2021Love it, the room, comfort, everything it offers and how smooth it drives!
January 21, 2021Great car! Loaded with features! Rides awesome! Love the space
