In 2017, Chrysler abandoned its longstanding Town & Country nameplate and replaced it with the all-new Pacifica minivan. Melding the brand’s traditional space and comfort virtues with high levels of technology and style, the Pacifica has maintained impressive sales momentum during its tenure. For 2019, Chrysler keeps the Pacifica the same.
Every Pacifica houses a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It send power to the front wheels courtesy of a 9-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is unchanged from last year, so you can expect the same 19 miles per gallon city, 28 highway and 22 combined on regular fuel.
One of the Pacifica’s many bright spots is its versatile interior, which seats up to 8 people. A second-row bench seat comes standard, but shoppers can replace it with a set of captain’s chairs. There are cargo areas in both the second and third rows that also provide space for the folded seats, thanks to Chrysler’s Stow ‘n' Go feature. Also included are 13 cupholders and myriad pockets and cubbies.
The Pacifica comes in six trims: L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and Limited. The L trim incorporates keyless access and start, steel wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB input, and 6-speaker audio system. Scale the trim ladder and features include alloy wheels; leather upholstery; rear air conditioning; power-sliding, hands-free rear doors and liftgate; navigation; a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen display; memory seats; 4G LTE hotspot capability; HID headlights; a 7-inch color instrument panel display; and a premium audio system. Some of the wilder indulgences include a tri-pane panoramic sunroof, a built-in vacuum cleaner, and an entertainment system with dual 10.2-inch screens and a BluRay player.
The sinister-looking S Appearance Package also makes a return for 2019. It features 18-inch wheels, a blacked-out grille, black exterior fitments, gloss-black accents across the interior, a black interior with light-gray accents and “S” badging.
Chrysler has made sure the Pacifica is no underachiever when it comes to safety. A reversing camera, blind-spot monitoring, reversing sensors, and rear cross-traffic detection with automatic braking come standard. Adaptive cruise control with traffic crawl, forward-collision braking, a 360-degree camera system, lane-departure warning, lane keeping assist and parking assist are among the safety options. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the minivan its Top Safety Pick award in 2018.
With buyers flocking to SUVs and crossovers like there’s no tomorrow, the minivan market has languished. But those buyers still left in the segment are fiercely loyal, and it’s attractive offerings like the Pacifica that will keep them interested for years to come.

What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica appreciate its smooth ride, spacious interior, and valuable features like the stow-and-go seating. They particularly like the versatility for family travel and its performance on the road. However, some drivers are frustrated by the engine shutting off at stoplights and find the entry to the van a bit cramped, despite enjoying the luxurious feel once inside."
Everything I wanted was on it. Surround camera, hands free door and trunk open, lane departure assist, lots of room for trips. Comfortable, heated seats. Bonus yhat ot had heated seats for my passengers.

May 10, 2020We got a good value on our Chrysler Pacifica, perfect for our family of 5 who loves to travel and camp. Is able to pull our little pop up camper and fit everything we need for a camping trip. Very smooth ride.
July 7, 2022The Chrysler Pacifica has a smooth ride for a min-van, the stow and go seats are a big plus. Lots of features that makes this car a good value for your money.
June 12, 2020The Pacifica Limited is a practical vehicle loaded with excellent features. I chose it over the Odyssey and Sienna. So far, I am not disappointed.
November 25, 2022It’s a well built car with plenty of room. It has lots of the convenience features that are becoming standard across all makes. Fun to drive!
January 16, 2024I really dont like that the engine shuts off when you come to a full stop at stoplights, not roomy entering the van but once youre in its great, in being fair I am accustomed to a full sized truck. I love everything else about it, especially the lighting it has at night when you get in and out of the vehicle. It is luxurious for a mini van and handles the road very well. Very pleased with our purchase.
November 28, 2020Much better to go with the Limited trim with 18 wheels, full size touchscreen, and lots of extra standard features including the incredible power stow-n-go third row seat and the powered sunroof/moonroof front and back.
