2017 Mazda MAZDA3 Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Expert review
For 2017, the Mazda3 gets its first real update since this generation debuted back in 2013. Design changes inside and out and new G-Vectoring Control make what was already a great car even more appealing and fun to drive.
Mazda is known for making stylish cars with beautiful interiors, and the Mazda3 is no exception. Whether you’re looking at the sporty little MX-5 Miata or the full-size CX-9 crossover, Mazda interiors make these cars look like they cost a lot more than what you paid. Plenty of features even in the base version and well-priced options let you build exactly the Mazda3 you want at a price you can afford.

What owners say
"Owners of the 2017 Mazda MAZDA3 generally love its sporty feel, responsive acceleration, and fuel efficiency. Many appreciate its stylish interior and user-friendly technology. However, some drivers have expressed a desire for more features and systems that rival competitors, specifically noting a preference against CVT transmissions."
The vehicle was priced well with all the features anyone could ever need. The interior seems to be better quality than others in its class over all a good made vehicle.
January 4, 2026I have Grand Touring model. Responsive accelerating and breaking. Solid system interface.
January 6, 2021When my Honda died some 10 years ago or so, I somehow stumbled upon the Mazda3 (I think it was the Car & Driver reviews), and bought one. That car is the most fabulous car in its price range that I have ever driven. I adored it. I bought a 2008 sGT, and drove it with nothing but the greatest pleasure until it gave up its life for me about a month ago. There will be no coming back from this injury, but I promise you, I am currently looking for this car, and ONLY this car, for my next car, and however many next cars I have after this one. Ne plus ultra.

March 7, 2024This car certainly has a LOT of zip, and thats not even using the Sport Mode! Plus, it gets great mpg and has a good shot of making it to 250k miles.
