Dealer's description
2008 Cadillac STS-V For SaleThis 2008 Cadillac STS-V is the top of Cadillac's first V-Series era, a rear-drive supercharged sedan built in small numbers and largely overshadowed by its CTS-V sibling. Cadillac produced 459 STS-Vs for 2008 out of 2,503 across the model's entire four-year run. The service parts label confirms this one as a factory Light Platinum Metallic car over black, still carrying its original LC3 supercharged V8, 6L80 transmission, sunroof, head-up display, and limited-slip rear axle. It shows roughly 75,000 miles and has had the two modifications that actually matter on this platform, with a TC Fab supercharger pulley and a Spectre intake manifold replacing the restrictive factory pieces. At the center of the car is the LC3, a 4.4L supercharged Northstar V8 built specifically for the V-Series and hand-assembled at GM's Performance Build Center in Wixom, Michigan, where each engine was completed start to finish by a single builder. The sand-cast aluminum block runs a 9.0:1 compression ratio under an Eaton M122 supercharger with an integrated Laminova-core intercooler, good for roughly 12 psi in factory form. Output was SAE-certified at 469 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 439 lb-ft at 3,900 rpm, the highest of any production Cadillac engine to that point. The TC Fab pulley measures 2.55 inches against the factory 2.8, spinning the blower about 10 percent faster, while the Spectre manifold opens up the intake tract feeding it. Power runs rearward through the Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed automatic with driver shift control into a 3.23 limited-slip rear axle.Brembo four-piston calipers work at all four corners over 355mm front and 365mm rear vented rotors, here fitted with drilled and slotted units and fed by ducts in the lower fascia. Damping comes from performance-tuned monotube coil-overs up front and Nivomat load-leveling shocks in the rear, with hollow 36mm front and 24mm rear anti-roll bars and a ZF Servotronic II rack geared quicker than a standard STS at 17.2:1. Cadillac also lowered the engine 14mm in the chassis and reinforced both subframes to handle the added torque and cornering loads. The factory staggered wheel setup remains in place with 18-inch fronts and 19-inch rears. Inside are the V-specific seats with suede inserts, individually cut and sewn leather surfaces, kinetic aluminum accents, deep-tinted olive ash burl trim, navigation, a head-up display, and the Bose 5.1 surround system with 15 speakers.Recent service includes a transmission fluid flush and filter replacement in September 2025 at 73,000 miles, with the remaining fluids and filters handled at the same time. The thermostat and temperature sensor have been replaced, and a new AGM battery was installed in August 2026 with a three-year warranty receipt included. A collection of parts goes with the car, including new trailing arm bushings, a rear differential bushing, a spare hood gas strut, an engine cover, several of the original air intake components, a car cover, and the factory shop manuals. Keeping the original intake pieces means a future owner can return the car closer to stock configuration if they choose.Cadillac aimed the STS-V at the E55 AMG and M5 crowd rather than giving it the CTS-V's sharper brief, developing the chassis at Milford and at the N rburgring Nordschleife. It remains the least-known of that group, which is most of the reason one can still be bought for a fraction of what the hardware underneath it suggests.NFI Empire specializes in classic, exotic, modified, and luxury vehicles.
