** JUST IN, MORE DETAILS TO FOLOW ** This 1965 Mustang GT K-Code coupe is a nice driver-quality example with an original body and undercarriage. Built after April 15th of 1965 when the GT option and front disc brakes became available, this car is finished in its original factory color scheme of Arcadian Blue with a Blue standard interior. In addition to the GT package and the top-dog V8, options include the chrome Styled Steel wheels and the Rally Pac tach and clock. Note that this car also features the rare, dealer-installed air-conditioning unit. A K-code Mustang was not available with factory-installed A/C, but you could have the dealer install an under-dash Ford system to provide that cool air on those hot summer days. The interior is in very nice condition from the headliner down to the carpet, including the upholstery and door panels, with the only notable flaw being the steering wheel's rim/spoke defects. Under the long hood is that rare K-code high-performance 289 4-barrel V8 rated at a healthy 271 horsepower. That powerhouse is matched to a Top-loader 4-Speed transmission and a 3:50-geared limited-slip rear end. Manual steering and front disc brakes round out the mechanical specs. Out on the road this Mustang runs strong, and is a blast to run up and down through the gears on your favorite twisty road. As you'd imagine, this pony has plenty of giddy-up.
