Dealer's description

1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL W113 Pagoda finished in Dark Olive Green #291 over Parchment. Some cars are restored. Others are reborn. This stunning 280SL Pagoda has undergone a comprehensive, nut and bolt restoration by Motoring Investments in San Diego California. One of the most respected names in the world of Pagoda restorations. Every detail has been restored, rebuilt, refinished, or replaced to the highest of standards, resulting in a car that is virtually indistinguishable from new. The original undercarriage remains remarkably preserved, retaining its factory applied undercoating that has naturally darkened with age. This rare originality confirms the car never suffered the extensive rust damage common among Pagodas exposed to harsh climates or salted roads. Rather than replacing floor pans or repairing corrosion, the original floorboards simply required cleaning, a testament to the quality of the car before restoration even began. Over approximately 2,500 labor hours, every system was meticulously restored to factory correct standards. Mechanical components were rebuilt, finishes perfected, and countless new parts sourced to ensure authenticity, reliability, and long-term enjoyment. The result is a 280SL that is equally at home on the concours field, in a private collection, or a spirited weekend drive.
