2005 Chevrolet SSR LS RWD

When Chevrolet unveiled their SSR concept at the 2000 Detroit Auto Show, most observers assumed that the stunning design was just another one-off dream machine that would never see production. After refining a few details like moving the mirrors and adding side markers, however, Chevy shocked everyone and released the Super Sport Roadster for the 2004 model year. Recalling Chevrolet's popular 1947-1953 pickup trucks, the SSR's bulbous fenders required special deep-draw steel and a special manufacturing process, but the resulting appearance is well worth the effort. This Smokin' Asphalt Black 2005 SSR is an excellent example of these unique attention magnets. Lift the curvaceous hood and you'll see the potent 6.0L LS2 aluminum V8 that generates a smooth 390 hp. Additional features include power rack and pinion steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, power windows, power door locks, power seats, power retractable hardtop, air conditioning, 4-speed automatic transmission with O/D, full instrumentation, leather upholstery and wheel, cruise control, tilt steering, AM/FM/CD audio system with Bose speakers, and big tires (255/45R19 F, 295/40R20 R) wrapped around chromed alloy wheels. This cruiser is mechanically excellent but it does have some minor cosmetic issues like small paint blemishes.
