Dealer's description
This 1965 Plymouth Belvedere was previously featured in Car Craft magazine for combining classic mid-60s styling with a serious performance build inspired by Mopar's legendary drag-racing heritage. At its heart is a 446 cubic inch V8 built with forged internals, an Eagle crank and rods, JE high-compression pistons, a Max Wedge intake manifold, and dual Carter AFB Competition carburetors. A 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission features a manual valve body, 3,500 RPM stall converter, and Hurst ratchet shifter. Out back, a stout Dana 60 rear end with aggressive 4.56:1 gears puts the power to the pavement. TTI headers and exhaust give this '65 Plymouth Belvedere a soundtrack worthy of its Mopar performance pedigree. The gold exterior with a painted white roof gives the car a period-correct appearance, and 15-inch Cragar wheels and street slicks hint at what's waiting under the hood. Inside, the custom tan bucket seat interior blends classic style with competition equipment. A gold-painted roll cage, RJS racing harnesses, Auto Meter gauges, a center console, a wood steering wheel, and a Chrysler Solid State AM radio create a cockpit with plenty of personality. For someone searching for a classic Mopar for sale, this 1965 Plymouth Belvedere brings more than big-block horsepower to the table. With its Max Wedge-inspired induction, serious drivetrain, magazine history, and unmistakable drag-strip attitude, this Mopar monster is ready to turn a quiet Saturday night into something much louder.
