Dealer's description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 27th year in the classic and muscle car business. Well folks, here's one you don't see every day. Check out this cool 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza. The Chevrolet Corvair is a rear-engined, air-cooled compact car that was produced by Chevy from 1960 until 1969 to compete with smaller, fuel efficient offerings from VW, Rambler, and Studebaker. I never knew anyone who owned a Corvair when I was younger, so I concentrated on muscle cars. It wasn't until I came to work here that I became fascinated with the "poor man's Porsche". This clean 1963 Chevrolet Corvair Monza is a fine, well-cared-for example of these classic oddballs. Lift the "hood' in back and you'll see the wildly unconventional aluminum block 145 ci air-cooled flat 6, similar to Porsche's 911. Additional features include a Powerglide automatic transmission, upscale Monza trim with bucket seats, factory AM radio, and 175/80R13 radial tires wrapped around painted steel wheels with correct covers. Two amazing things have become apparent since I've started looking into these little jewels; they're exceptionally well-built and their owners tend to pamper them. This means that there are very nice examples available at reasonable prices. I've also learned that despite Satan's minion's book (a.k.a. Ralph Nader), a 1972 NHTSA study found that the 1960-1963 Corvair had no greater potential for loss of control than other cars! If this curious classic is your kind of cool, call the team that can make your dream a reality. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing options.
