Dealer's description
1966 Ford Mustang Convertible 302ci V8 Automatic Upgraded Suspension A/C /// This 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible has remained with its third owner for the past 22 years and was thoughtfully restored and tastefully updated to enhance drivability while preserving its classic character. Restored by Norwood Wooding of Wooding's Auto Body Works in Roanoke, Virginia, the car was refinished in Wimbledon White over a blue interior, while the 302ci V8 was overhauled by Highlands Machine in 2013 with receipts on file. The convertible features an upgraded insulated top, 17" Billet Specialties wheels, and a lowered stance that complements its factory-inspired appearance. Power comes from a four-barrel-equipped 302ci V8 backed by a Ford four-speed automatic overdrive transmission and a Ford 8" rear axle with 3.80 gears. Additional upgrades include a Heidts Mustang II front suspension with tubular control arms and sway bar, 2" lowering rear leaf springs, power rack-and-pinion steering, power front disc brakes, and an aluminum radiator with an electric cooling fan. Inside, the blue standard interior retains its classic appearance while benefiting from a factory-style front bench seat, floor shifter, billet three-spoke steering wheel, Dakota Digital instrumentation, digital AM/FM/Aux head unit, and modern air conditioning. Thoughtfully upgraded throughout, this Mustang delivers the timeless styling of a first-generation convertible with the comfort, reliability, and road manners expected of a well-executed mild restomod.
