Dealer's description

1958 Chevrolet Apache LS For SaleThis 1958 Chevrolet Apache is a restomod built around the idea of keeping the looks of a Task Force-era Chevy truck while giving it the drivability of something far newer. The Apache name debuted in 1958 for Chevrolet's half-ton trucks, the same year the line picked up its quad-headlight front end, and the body style remains one of the most sought-after starting points for a modernized classic pickup. This one pairs that vintage shape with a contemporary fuel-injected drivetrain and updated driving hardware, finished in purple over a black interior. The body is believed to be all steel.Power comes from a fuel-injected LS-series 5.3L V8 sourced from a 1999 Silverado, backed by an automatic transmission. Cooling is handled by an aluminum radiator with an electric fan, and a set of custom dual exhaust gives it a modern V8 voice. The fuel tank has been relocated to the bed, a common and welcome upgrade on these trucks since the factory mounted the tank inside the cab behind the seat. Out back the truck runs 3.08:1 gearing, a tall, highway-friendly ratio that suits a cruiser-oriented build and keeps engine speed down at speed. The chassis has been brought up to modern manners with power steering and power brakes, using front discs and rear drums. The stance leans traditional, with bias-ply tires on steel wheels finished with center caps, and a wooden bed floor that keeps the classic Stepside character. Inside, a bench seat keeps things period-correct while a set of Dakota Digital gauges handles instrumentation, paired with an oversized steering wheel. A RetroSound stereo with a power antenna rounds out the cabin, giving it modern audio without breaking the vintage look.Altogether this is a clean restomod take on a first-year Apache: classic Task Force styling on the outside, LS power and updated steering, braking, and cooling underneath, built to be driven and enjoyed rather than trailered.NFI Empire specializes in classic, exotic, modified, and luxury vehicles.
