Dealer's description

Incredibly fun and very well built '73 RS Tribute 911 finished in White over Black interior. This 911 started new as a 1984 911 Carrera and was converted into a 1973 911 RS Tribute vehicle by Protosport Inc. in 2011 - 2012. The conversion consisted of composite panels replacing the front fenders, front deck lid, front bumper cover, rear deck lid, and rear bumper cover. The roof, rear quarter panels, and doors remain original. The original 3.2L flat-six engine received a top-end rebuild and a 6-Speed G50 transmission was fitted to the car as well. The car was once part of the Trissl Sports Cars collection and most recently came to us from a long time enthusiast client that kept the car in Arizona for the past 10 years, averaging 1,000 miles of driving per year. Since the completion of the Tribute conversion the car has been driven fewer than 13,000 miles which has kept the overall condition of this 911 very clean. The level of detail to complete this '73 RS Tribute was very comprehensive. The tub of the 911 was completely stripped to bare metal before being painted in the Grand Prix White finish with blue Carrera RS trim. A partial roll-cage was installed at the time of the conversion as well. The original 3.2L engine received new piston rings, rod bearings, intake valves, and the cylinder heads were resurfaced. A 3.2L Motronic ECU chip was added as well as a new clutch assembly with aluminum Turbo pressure plate. A high-flow cone air filter was installed and the exhaust was modified to enhance the engines ability to breathe. A 6-Speed G50 transmission replaced the original 915 transmission to enhance the overall driving character and experience. The front suspension received new Bilstein Sport Shocks as well as a strut brace, new Turbo tie-rod ends, new ball joints, and suspension bushings were replaced. The rear suspension received 935 HymeJoint style coil-overs, new Bilstein Sport Shocks, and a 930 sway bar. Wheels included 7x15 and 8x15 Fuchs that were refinished, painted, and polished to complete the exterior aesthetics of the car. The interior of the '73 RS Tribute received Recaro Sport Seats, rear seat delete, 5 point blue Schroth harnesses, RS door panels, Alcantara dash pad covering, and RS lightweight carpeting. A remote locking / unlocking system was fitted to the car as well as an upgraded radio and HID litronic headlights. The completed RS Tribute conversion is not only gorgeous and inspiring to view, the car has also been lightened by nearly 300 pounds and makes an estimated 230hp and 210lb/ft of torque which is an increase of 23hp and nearly 20lb/ft of torque. When combining the lightweight chassis with upgraded power this '73 RS Tribute is an exceptional driving car in power delivery and handling. Our Factory Trained Classic Technicians have performed our comprehensive pre-owned inspection to ensure the 911 is ready for its next owner. During the inspection process we installed new front tires due to age and performed an annual oil and filter change so the next owner won't have to. Rear tires were replaced by the previous owner shortly before the car came to us here in Colorado Springs. Schedule your personal demonstration of this incredibly fun and very well built '73 RS Tribute 911 at Porsche Colorado Springs today! 719-219-1911
