When it comes to automotive royalty, few cars on earth can match the power and presence of a Ferrari. Speaking of that motor, the QV update, beginning in 1982, upgraded the Mondial to a four-valve-per-cylinder (Quattrovalvole) naturally-aspirated 3.0-liter DOHC V-8 engine. When new, this electronically fuel-injected V-8 made an impressive 240-horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 188 pound-feet of torque at 5,500 rpm. That power is routed through a synchromesh five-speed manual transmission before being sent to the rear wheels, where 15.35-inch rims (390mm) await, shod in 240/55VR-390 rubber, ready to put that power to the tarmac with all the alacrity of an Italian sports car.
