Dealer's description
Ground Up Built Camaro Convertible Restomod 427ci ZL1 V8 5-speed IRS /// The 1969 Chevrolet Camaro represents the pinnacle of first-generation F-body development, combining aggressive styling with serious performance potential. This SS/RS convertible is a fully realized custom build that blends period-inspired design with modern engineering, originally built to a high standard with known show-level pedigree. Finished in Chevrolet Torch Red, the body features exceptionally refined sheet metal with a largely stock appearance enhanced by subtle modifications, including relocated fog lights, a hybrid cowl induction hood, molded exhaust outlets, and a custom rear spoiler. A German Haartz cloth top and staggered polished Budnik Gasser wheels wrapped in Nitto NT555 tires complete the exterior. Power comes from a GMPP ZL1 aluminum 427 paired with a Richmond 5-speed manual transmission and a modified independent C5 rear suspension with a limited-slip differential. The engine utilizes Dart Pro 1 heads and Hilborn-style EFI, along with MSD ignition, Jet-Hot coated headers, and a Vintage Air Front Runner system with A/C compressor. A tubular front subframe with C5 geometry, Ridetech coilovers, rack-and-pinion power steering, and Wilwood disc brakes complement a fully finished undercarriage with Detroit Speed mini-tubs. Inside, modified 1996 Camaro bucket seats are trimmed in leather and black tweed alongside a custom console, custom door panels, and a molded 2003 Malibu dash with Auto Meter gauges. Additional features include an Ididit column, Budnik wheel, Pioneer audio system, and integrated Vintage Air climate control. This Camaro delivers a cohesive blend of performance, detail, and drivability, equally at home on the road or at a show.
