Dealer's description
2016 VLF Force 1 V10 ConvertibleThe 2016 VLF Force 1 V10 occupies a very unusual space in the modern performance-car world. It was introduced at the 2016 North American International Auto Show as a Henrik Fisker-designed, Viper-based halo car developed with input from Ben Keating, with an initial plan for 50 examples. Later reporting indicates production never came close to that figure, with only five Force 1s said to have been completed, and this example is the only convertible. Finished in Dark Graphite Metallic and showing just 500 miles, it stands as an exceptionally rare low-volume American exotic with real Viper hardware underneath and coachbuilt presence above it.What makes the Force 1 interesting is that it is not simply a rebodied Dodge Viper. It does share the Viper's core architecture, 8.4L V10, and 6-speed Tremec manual transmission, but VLF gave the car its own carbon-fiber bodywork, its own interior treatment, and a much different visual identity. The styling is angular and dramatic without being cartoonish, and details like the 21-inch Henrik Fisker-designed wheels and staggered Pirelli P Zero tires sized 305/25 front and 355/25 rear give it a stance that is completely its own. The cabin was designed to feel far more bespoke than stripped-down, using upscale materials and a more tailored presentation than the car it was derived from.Under the hood is VLF's version of the Viper's 8.4-liter V10, rated at a claimed 745 horsepower and 638 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through the 6-speed manual. That already makes for a serious driver's car, but the Force 1 also benefited from an active suspension system developed with Ben Keating's racing background in mind, intended to improve both ride quality and the car's ability to put power down compared with a standard Viper. The result is a hand-built American performance car that delivers the raw appeal of a naturally aspirated V10 and manual transmission, but with rarity and presentation that place it in a very different category.See the "videos" tab above this description box for a cold start and walk around.
