This is one which is a good mix in the middle. The Prius Prime has a plug-in charging system which allows this Prius to run solely on the hybrid battery for a range of just over 40 miles. All of the separate trims for the Prius Prime are powered by the same 2.0L 4-cyl. gas engine paired to an electric motor with both full-electric and normal hybrid modes. This powertrain offers 220 HP and when utilizing conventional hybrid mode, was rated for a combined 48 MPG. When using both electric & gas, it raises that number to an average 114 MPG.
