It will accelerate back to the set speed when the road straightens out. In addition to basic cruise control functionality, adaptive cruise has the ability to automatically speed up and slow down the vehicle to match the speed of the vehicle ahead. If there is no vehicle ahead, it will maintain the cruising speed set by the driver. If the vehicle ahead comes to a complete stop, this system will bring the vehicle to a stop and resumes using automatic sensors or driver input.
