1987 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet

We are proud to offer this very nice 1987 Porsche 911 Targa. We recently traded this car directly out of its Florida owner's garage. It had spent the last 18 years in the Bradenton Florida garage of two neighbors who shared the passion for Porsche and this wonderful G Body Targa. Upon arrival to our shop, we did a thorough inspection and found no major issues of concern. We did note the heat exchangers had been removed and the exhaust had been replaced with a performance and sound minded upgrade. The full Dansk Motorsports Performance Polished Stainless Steel exhaust sounds great! We also have noted some oil leaks and weeps that are typical for cars of this era. The car does not drip oil or smoke when running and we have had it in our showroom for several weeks. We are replacing some general cosmetic items and addressing any issues that are safety related. Our Porsche classic certified techs also repaired the speedometer gear which was a common failure in this generation. The Targa top is in excellent condition, and the overall paint shows very well. Carfax shows 34 service records with only a "Very Minor" incident (which may have been a claim for the top) This is a DRIVER QUALITY car that runs and drives excellent and shifts smoothly thru all gears. We have paint meter reading that show the car to have previous paint work on the driver's fender and door however the match is excellent and the car shows well. Manual trans and factory Aero Targas in this price range are becoming incresingly difficult to find. This car offers a great value to get into a classic Porsche that you can drive right out of our showroom! As a VA dealer we are required to State inspect or reject any vehicle we sell. Unfortunately, because the heat exchangers were removed it will not pass inspection for altered exhaust (No Catalytic converter) and defrost being inoperable. We will be selling this car AS-IS however we welcome 3rd party inspections and can provide video walk arounds with any specific questions regarding this Targa.
