1959 Porsche 356 Speedster GT in Silver over Black leather and showing only 25,681 miles. This 356 is loaded with: 1.6 Liter Super flat 4 with 75 horsepower, 4 speed manual transmission, 15 inch painted steel wheels and very little else. This is believed to be one of seven Speedster GT's built with the 1.6 liter engine and the competition-spec aluminum trunk and engine compartment lids and doors. Originally ordered by Carl Block Porsche in Oakland, California for SCCA racing. It is one of four ordered by Carl Block, and per its cardex retains its numbers matching engine. It was completely and comprehensively rotisserie restored in approximately 1989 and spent significant time in the Otis Chandler collection before moving on to other prominent Porsche collectors. The car is presented in racing trim with its simple four-point roll bar and bomber-style lap belts. This is an extraordinarly rare Speedster in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.
