INTRODUCTION: Big back window, big wheels, and big power equal big smiles! Not only was this truck frame-off restored, the original frame was replaced with a custom chassis for modern performance and handling. Under the hood is a modern LS engine paired with an overdrive automatic transmission, and yes-it has air conditioning. This one delivers classic looks with modern comfort, making every drive an absolute pleasure. EXTERIOR: You can't beat lipstick red and when it's on a 55 Chevy stepside that's been lowered and given a fantastic set of wheels, it's even that much better! Overall the body is very solid and straight, it's been stripped of all its emblems and trim for a nice clean look. The red paint is polished very smooth and glossy, you will find some minor flaws if you look for them. The windshield was replaced, the side vent windows were eliminated so it has new one piece glass in the doors and it has the big back window which is original. The chrome up front including the grille, bumper and bezels have been replaced. In back is a roll pan with a recessed license plate. The 20 inch Boze wheels are killer looking, extra wide in back and they are wrapped in performance tires. INTERIOR: The dash has been filled and smoothed and a lower panel was custom fabricated. All of the interior metal was painted gloss red. It has Slosh Tub bucket seats and a buddy seat that folds down for an armrest with cup holders. It also has door panel inserts, new armrests, handles, headliner and visors. Down on the floor is a red carpet and a Locar shifter. The custom instrument cluster lights up red. The lower dash panel is home to the a/c controls and vents, the Holley screen, a stereo and the button for push button start! The leather cushion grip steering wheel is very comfortable, especially when you adjust the tilt column just right. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This LS3 6.2 liter motor features a Hi-Ram Holley EFI intake with a big polished throttle body and polished intake tube. It also has custom polished coil covers giving it the look of a big block. The front of the motor has a serpentine drive system with a 1 wire alternator and a mini air conditioning compressor. Other features include stainless headers and power brake system. The truck runs cool with a Champion aluminum radiator, aluminum water pump and overflow bottle along with an electric fan and stainless hoses. The engine bay is painted gloss red and the firewall is custom made to accommodate this motor. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The tailgate functions as it did in 1955 with chrome chains holding it up! Inside has a diamond plate floor with custom wheel tubs to accommodate the big tires. The shiny diamond plate box is the fuel tank and there's a compartment with the battery in it. A tonneau cover is easily Velcroed in place and keeps whatever is in back dry and clean. UNDERSIDE: It is sitting on a complete custom chassis with a boxed frame with tubular supports and tubular engine cradle. Up front is an independent suspension with coilover adjustable gas shocks, rack and pinion steering. In back is a ladder bar 4 link system with triangulated bar and coilover adjustable gas shocks. The custom exhaust runs neatly along the frame and has Flowmaster mufflers and turn down tips. It also has electric dumps that operate by remote, you can really let people know you've arrived! Upgraded with drilled discs at all four wheels. Looking up at the motor it has a Holly aluminum oil pan and a high torque starter. The trans is a 4L60E overdrive automatic which sends power to a 9 inch rear with 4.11 posi gears. The floor is clean metal painted black. SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation.
