1970 Ford Torino Cobra 429 SCJ Drag Pack | Documented This 1970 Ford Torino Cobra is a fully documented, numbers-matching example equipped with the legendary 429 Super Cobra Jet Ram Air V8 and Drag Pack, one of just 1,475 SCJ Drag Pack Cobras built. Documentation includes the Marti Report and original build sheet. The original drivetrain features a 4-speed close-ratio manual transmission and 4.30 locking rear axle, with factory markings still visible on the rear end and transmission. Factory equipment includes power front disc brakes, a working factory tachometer, and an original working AM/FM stereo. The car has received a sympathetic restoration, including its first repaint in the original Medium Metallic Blue using PPG basecoat with 10 coats of clear, wet-sanded and polished. Jambs, engine bay, and trunk were painted, and the rust-free undercarriage was resealed in correct red oxide. The black interior has been refreshed with a reupholstered front bench seat, new carpet, headliner, and dash, while the rear seat and door panels remain original. It rides on new wheels and tires, with the original wheels and dog-dish caps included if desired. New brakes have been installed (front discs, rear drums), along with new trunk and door weatherstripping.
