The 20102011 E550 is one of Mercedes-Benzs best-kept secrets and is widely regarded as one of the finest modern sedans the brand has produced. These model years feature the rare and highly desirable 5.5L naturally aspirated V8, a powertrain offered for just two years (20102011). In later generations, this engine was replaced by a 4.6L twin-turbo V8, which introduced a long list of well-documented issues. By contrast, the 5.5L V8 in this generation is a proven, time-tested powerplant, with earlier shortcomings fully addressed, making it one of the most reliable V8s Mercedes has built in the modern era. This particular example is properly preserved and exceptionally well kept, with only 62,000 miles since new. It carries over $14,000 in factory options, with an original MSRP of $71,700. A California car from new, it comes with service records and presents exactly as it should.
