Dealer's description

1987 Vanagon GL syncro The Great Bought 3 years ago and im the 2nd owner as far as i know. PO was a mechanic and kept it in top shape. Interior is in amazing stock condition!! In its current state it's Road Ready and waiting on its next adventure!! This is the stock VW syncro purists dream! The syncro is the holy grail of VW vanagon!! Please look up how a VW syncro is different and more valuable than a regular 2wd before continuing! (And also slightly more tedious to work on ) Rebuilt GW 2.2 Wbx (waterboxer, watercooled engine) with ONLY 13k miles on it. All cylinders pushing 150+. I put the last 3000 miles on it myself and its driving like a HOG between Santa Fe, NM and the Front Range! It's got a new starter, starter/alternator cable, throttle body, AFM, accelerator cable, water pump, oil cooler, aluminum fuel rails, mansi injectors, new spark plugs and wires, new distributor cap, ignition coil, new clutch, clutch pilot bearing, throwout bearing, aluminum thermostat housing, temp 2 sensor, new metal coolant tank, coolant lines, SS coolant lines, new radiator, new fuel lines, new exhaust w SS muffler, new radiator fan resistor and temp switch. New rear CVs. Landrover mirrors and a strong stock syncro transmission with a fresh rebuild. I get around 250-275 miles a tank. No leaks and doesn't burn oil. Rebuilt syncro transmission/front diff by Mr Gas (Canon City) with 1200 miles on the rebuild. SA oil plates and weddle thrust plate. New VC. New wiring harness installed by Verners New power steering rack, rear passenger control arm and alignment all done by Verners Also comes w 2 extra seats to make it a 7 passenger van. 14inch wheels with 2000 miles on them Probably some other new stuff I forgot to mention. DM me to ask! The neutral Stock radio, stock rear shocks, needs a paint job and some body work. Normal amounts of rust for being kept in CO for the last 20+ years. AC has a leak and is unplugged and heater blower needs replacing. Ac duct is removed.
