While at the peak of his popularity in the Fall of 1961, Elvis Presley purchased one of and an early Sports Roadster was featured on an episode of "The Twilight Zone." This particular Thunderbird definitely looks good enough to be a TV star with its correct Rangoon Red paint and brand new white convertible top. All of the chrome and brightwork show well and the car is a real head turner! Open up the driver's door and you will see a nice honest red vinyl interior with bucket seats and a beautiful center console. You can get in and out with ease thanks to a tilt-away steering column, and have room for the rest of the family thanks to a roomy rear seat! Under the hood lies a healthy 390 CID V8 engine, just the way it left the factory. All of the gear changes are done for you courtesy of the Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed automatic transmission.
