Dealer's description
This 1983 Ford F-100 regular cab pickup was modified in 2010 with the installation of a bored and stroked 557ci V8 that also features Trick Flow cylinder heads, a Comp Cams roller camshaft, and a Holley 750-cfm carburetor. The truck was also repainted red and received a tubbed cargo bed during the build. It is also equipped with a three-speed automatic transmission, red cloth upholstery, a fiberglass cowl induction hood, side exhaust outlets, an A.R.E. tonneau cover, 16-inch Center Line wheels, custom interior woodgrain trim, AutoMeter gauges, air conditioning, and a Pioneer stereo. The truck previously spent time in Florida and was purchased by the seller in 2023. The truck was refinished in red under prior ownership and features a tubbed Styleside bed as well as a replacement chrome front bumper, a chrome grille, a red Ford oval badge, barbed-wire striping, a fiberglass cowl induction hood with hood pins, tinted windows, dual fuel tanks, and an A.R.E. tonneau cover. Polished 16-inch Center Line wheels are mounted with 225/70 General Grabber All Season tires up front and 31×10-inch Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires at the rear. The truck is said to be equipped with a four-link suspension, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs at all four corners. The cab features seating trimmed in red cloth along with a color-coordinated headliner, carpeting, and door panels. Amenities include a center console, power windows and locks, air conditioning, a heater, a replacement rearview mirror, a Pioneer stereo, and coordinated woodgrain trim on the dash, center armrest, and aftermarket steering wheel. Replacement AutoMeter gauges are set in a white surround and consist of a 120-mph speedometer and readouts for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 2,300 miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. True mileage is unknown. Work in 2010 included sourcing a 460ci Ford V8 block, which was bored .080 inch over and stroked to a displacement of 557ci. Components include Trick Flow cylinder heads, a Comp Cams roller camshaft, hydraulic lifters, MSD ignition, and an Edelbrock intake manifold topped by a Holley 750-cfm race carburetor with a mechanical secondary. The stainless steel 3-inch exhaust system incorporates Hedman headers and side exits. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission and a 9-inch rear end with 3.50:1 gears. The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Florida with entries beginning in 1991.
