Dealer's description

*1964 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Coupe*The Chevrolet Chevelle was General Motors' entry into the quickly expanding mid-size market. Debuting in 1963 for the 1964 model year, the Chevelle went on to become one of the brand's most beloved cars thanks to its smaller size, and ability to fit some of Chevrolet's most potent engines under the hood. This authentic Malibu Super Sport V8 Sport Coupe was delivered new to Alan Green Chevrolet of Seattle, WA and was nicely customized by one of the previous owners.Finished in Goldwood Yellow, this factory SS was nicely outfitted from the factory with a 4-speed manual, Positraction rear end, 300 horsepower 327ci V8 as well as heavy duty brakes and cooling systems. Taking that ethos, a previous owner brought this 1960s performance car up to 21st century levels. From the exterior, it looks like a very nicely kept stock Chevelle. But when you see the larger 18-inch Rallye wheels wrapped in sticky Bridgestone Potenza tires sitting in front of 4-wheel CPP disc brakes, you realize there is more beneath the surface.Inside the car, black vinyl covers the seats, dash and door cards, and a large console separates the two front bucket seats. Drop down into the driver's seat and you are met by a 3-spoke billet steering wheel, which frames some modern Dakota Digital gauges, and to your right sits a Hurst shifter with a white cue-ball shift knob on top. A Retro radio with AM/FM capabilities sits in the dash and a subwoofer has been added to the sound system.Under the hood is where things get really interesting. A very nicely finished 6.2-liter LS3 V8, topped by a Holley Sniper EFI intake manifold and brushed aluminum valve covers. Power is estimated to be around 480hp, and reliability is greatly improved too thanks to the fuel injection and GM Performance wiring harness and serpentine belt systems. Stainless steel shorty headers breathe into a set of Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers for a great noise, and in place of the original 4-speed manual sits a Tremec Magnum 6-speed manual. Out back sits a Ford 9-inch rear end with Positraction 3.51 rear gears. To go with all this extra power, the chassis has been upgraded with Global West A-arms up front, Viking double adjustable coil-overs, a 11/4" hollow sway bar and 4-bar link with poly bushings. The car now drives, turns and stops remarkably. If you're on the hunt for a classic with the performance of a modern car, this Malibu SS could be just what you're looking for. With its LS V8, electronic fuel injection and modern wiring, it will prove to be dependable, as well as a ton of fun behind the wheel. When paired with the fact this was originally sold in Seattle and is being offered with its original window sticker and Washington plate from 1963, it's a piece of history that you can enjoy too!*Key Features* * Sold New at Alan Green Chevrolet in 1963 * True Malibu SS (58-Series VIN) * Resto-Modded * LS3 V8 * Holley Sniper EFI * Shorty Headers w/Flowmaster 40s * GM Performance Wiring * GM Performance Serpentine System * Tremec Magnum 6-Speed Manual * Viking Double Adjustable Coil Overs * Global West A-Arms * CCP Disc Brakes at All Four Corners * Twin Fan Aluminum Radiator*Additional Information* * Original Window Sticker * WA License Plate from 1963 * Poster Board * Service/Build Invoices * Very Attractive Color CombinationFor more information on this 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Coupe or any of our High-Performance, Luxury, Exotic, and Special Interest cars always in stock, contact one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales consultants or always feel free to drop by our 40,000+ sq ft of Indoor Showrooms in Bellevue, WA - Home of an Exciting Inventory of Luxury, Exotic, High Performance and Collectible Automobiles.
