Dealer's description

Details About Our Available Ford Streetrod: On display and for sale at the St. Louis Car Museum is a 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster finished in a vibrant Blue with a Tan vinyl interior perfectly accented with Light Blue and Tan pinstriping! Power comes from an 8BA-generation 239ci Flathead V8 with earlier generation center port 59A Offenhauser finned aluminum 24-stud heads and an Offenhauser dual carb aluminum intake fitted with Ford 59 carburetors and Edmonds oval aluminum air cleaners. Spark delivery is provided with a Mallory dual-point distributor and coil with a billet heat shield. Ceramic-coated exhaust headers feed twin Smitty mufflers for an outstanding hot rod sound! Cooling efficiency is provided by a Brassworks radiator up front. Power output is now estimated at 125 horsepower and delivered through a floor-shifted 3-speed manual transmission and Ford 9" rear axle. Beginning this build in the mid 1990's, a new 1932 style roadster chassis was modified and reinforced with a front & rear 4-link parallel suspension with horizontal leaf springs. The front received a 4" tubular drop axle with a manual steering box; along with drum brakes, braided stainless steel brake lines, and Pete & Jake's chrome shock absorbers at all four corners. The fiberglass Roadster body was supplied from Downs Industries which was expertly molded with wood & steel reinforcements, hidden door & trunk hinges, and a cockpit that was stretched 2" to provide more cabin leg room for occupants. It was painted an eye-catching shade of blue and carefully pinstriped by artist, Shakey, in 1998 upon completion with a combination of blue and tan! It will come with a complete steel hood assembly already painted to match, with only the upper hood in use presently. The sides are shown in the photographs. Inside the cockpit, you will see the full array of Stewart Warner instrumentation, turn signals, banjo steering wheel, tinted windshield + wind wings, wood shift knob, and carpeted floor mats. All new 12-volt wiring with a new fuse panel installed in the process. On the ground are 15" chrome wheels/hubcaps wrapped in BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial whitewall tires measuring 165R15 up front and 255/70R15 at the rear. The results are quite striking! Its full combination of all-Ford components provides for a truly traditional street rod that will speak to the hearts of the classic 1950's era of early Ford customizers! Don't miss this opportunity to own a terrific era-correct custom Ford Roadster that is genuinely fun to drive! It is titled as a 1932 Ford. Call to schedule a test drive or to ask about financing and/or shipping this Custom Classic! History About Ford's Early V8 styles: Early Ford body designs have been a notoriously popular platform for customization into street rods for many years. Particularly the Model A and early Ford V8 styles of the 1930's. A great number of designers and builders have captured the attention of classic car enthusiasts with their more appealing high horsepower drivetrains along with sculpted body lines and typical wild paint jobs! Each one different than the next, owning a custom 1930's Ford is a great way to add an individual touch to your collection! Questions about this 1932 Ford for sale? Contact Jon Faust at or email
