1976 One Family-Owned Thunderbird This is a special Bird, the 1976 model was the last of the Big Birds. This Bird has only 1,500 documented miles. It is a time capsule with the big 460 cubic inches V-8 and all the luxury equipment, including the very limited Creme and Gold luxury package. All the power equipment including the power antenna work. The car was produced May 25th,1976 and remained with the original owner until his death in 1989. He only drove the car on weekends, because he had a company car. Upon his death because of sentimental value his brother kept the car in storage. Now he is up in age, and it has become difficult for him to preserve this beautiful Bird. According to the previous owner 2 years ago the spark plugs, belts, hoses, and fuel system were replaced. We have replaced the 46-year-old tires, replaced all four disc brake rotors and brake pads, replaced the carburetor, fuel filter and pump, water pump and radiator, alternator, and rebuilt the Air Conditioning system. All the chrome is like new, no pitting, and the interior is pristine. All of the rubber moldings are like new.
