Dealer's description
1951 Jaguar XK120 for sale! Motorcar Classics is pleased to present this stunning 1951 Jaguar XK120 Roadster, chassis number 671529. It is a beautifully restored example of one of the most iconic sports cars of its era. Originally delivered in New York, this left-hand-drive roadster is reported to have an extensive body-off restoration at Pollack Auto Restoration in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. The car was refinished in a crisp white exterior complemented by a luxurious red leather interior, creating a timeless and striking color combination. Power is provided by a rebuilt 3.4-liter DOHC inline-six engine paired with a four-speed manual transmission, both of which were meticulously refurbished during the restoration process.Key features include a removable tan soft top, split windshield, rear wheel spats, Smiths instrumentation, and 16-inch steel wheels with Jaguar-logo hubcaps and Michelin tires. The cabin showcases red leather upholstery on the seats, door panels, and padded dashboard, along with matching carpets. The instrumentation includes a reverse-sweep tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer. The restoration also involved stripping the body to bare metal and refinishing it in white, while the frame was stripped and finished in black. Mechanical updates include dual SU carburetors and polished camshaft covers for the engine. This classic roadster represents an exceptional opportunity to own a piece of automotive history that combines elegance, performance, and a meticulous restoration.
