Dealer's description

The 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet represents a thrilling high-water mark and a spectacular send-off for the 996 generation of the 911. As the definitive version of the first water-cooled 911 Turbo, the 2005 Turbo S was a limited-production powerhouse that standardized what were previously expensive options. It came equipped with the X50 Power Kit, which boosted the legendary twin-turbo 3.6-liter flat-six engine to a potent 444 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. This enabled the car to rocket to 60 mph in approximately 4.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of over 190 mph. Crucially, it also featured Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB)-a cutting-edge, fade-resistant braking system-as standard, along with exclusive interior appointments. Combining blistering, all-wheel-drive performance with open-top exhilaration, the 2005 Turbo S Cabriolet is celebrated today as a collectible swan song that bundled Porsche's best technology into one explosive, all-weather supercar. The vehicle offered is an exceptional 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet, a rare, open-top performance icon, presented in a classic and desirable specification of Black paint over a Black leather interior. Showing just 24k miles from a history of dedicated ownership. The car is driven by the formidable twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter flat-six engine, which was factory-equipped with the powerful X50 package. This engine sends its output to all four wheels via a desirable six-speed manual transaxle. As a Turbo S model, it is equipped with track-ready features, including Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes with distinctive yellow-painted six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. Porsche Stability Management and an Automatic Brake Differential enhance handling and grip, while 18-inch Turbo Twist wheels are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza S-02A tires. The exterior features a sleek, power-operated black soft top and includes the Turbo's signature wide-body architecture, which incorporates wider rear bodywork, distinctive rear air intakes, and revised bumper covers compared to the standard Carrera. Lighting consists of bi-xenon headlights and fog lights, complemented by polished exhaust outlets and a speed-activated rear spoiler. Inside the sophisticated cabin, the seating surfaces are upholstered in black leather with pepita inserts. The luxurious full leather treatment extends across the dashboard and door panels. Comfort and convenience amenities include heated power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support and driver-seat memory settings, automatic climate control, a wind deflector, and cruise control. The cockpit is upgraded with a Calibre K40 radar detector and features Porsche Communication Management with navigation and a CD stereo with a remote disc changer. This Turbo S Cabriolet comes complete with the owner's manual and a car cover, documented by a clean Carfax report. It is a superb, low-mileage example of the water-cooled 996 Turbo.
