Dealer's description
1968 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible w/ Factory hardtop, 427c.i. L36 (7.0L) V8 Big Block, with a 4-Speed Manual Transmission, this is a true number matching block, transmission, firewall, VIN plate is all correct, fully restored corvette professionally completed. The car is in its original Silver Perl paint with Black Vinyl seating and a Black convertible Soft Top. When it comes to the heritage of the Corvette, especially the 60's its either the Big Block or split window coupe conversation. The L36 was a 427 cubic inch (7.0L) V8 engine with overhead valves and a cast iron block. It produced 390 horsepower at 5400 RPM and 460 lb-ft of torque at 3600 RPM. This engine utilized a Rochester Quadrajet 4-barrel carburetor. This was also as the infamous set up under rated horsepower GM was known for keeping the noise down on how powerful these cars actually put out.
