Dealer's description

1946 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special Sedan was originally ordered by Mr. Louis Montgomery Du Commun of San Francisco. His chauffeur, Mr. Lee, was sent to Detroit to take delivery of the car in early October of 1946, and drive it to San Francisco. Mr. Lee chauffeured Mr. Du Commun in the car for the next two decades. Upon Mr. Du Commun's death in 1966, the car was willed to Mr. Lee. Mr. Lee retained the car for the next four decades. After Mr. Lee passed away in 2006, the car was sold to Bayard Guild of Dover, Maine. Mr. Guild passed away in 2007, and the car was put into storage until it was acquired by a collector who had it returned back to California. In December of 2018, Original Cadillac owners' info card still in the passenger kick panel. With 70,000 miles this car looks and performs as you would expect it too, it has been well taken care of in the cosmetic standpoint and mechanical aspect. The paint is 80 percent original and has held up very nice, the body is very straight and there is no rust in the car, body gaps are perfect, original sheet metal, complete stainless and brightwork w excellent chrome bumpers and Dagmars, Doors shut perfect, windows all align perfect, some very small imperfections on the paint as seen in the photos I took, new tires, and alignment performed. Interior is all stock and excellent, all gauges, lights and signals are working correct, steering wheel perfect, upgraded modern stereo in glove box. Trunk is original and very tidy and complete. I would not hesitate to drive this car across the country. It is a wonderful driving example. Original California car that has never left....
