As a 1997 Euro car, this M3 is what is known as an Evolution - this means that instead of the 3.0-liter inline-6, displacement increased to 3.2 liters, while the transmission gained a gear, moving from 5 to 6 speeds. Being the legendary Euro-spec M3, this carâ€s engine is fitted with 6 throttle bodies and is well known for being far more powerful than the US-spec variant. In Evolution form, the S50 produces 316 horsepower at 7,400 RPM and 258 lb-ft of torque at 3,250 RPM. 0-60 mph happens in less than 5.5 seconds and the top speed is nearly 160 mph flat out. ‍The E36 M3 has earned its place as a bonafide classic, and the European variants are particularly special.
